8th Annual Teacup & Mug Exchange

As many of you already know, Stephanie at The Enchanting Rose has been hosting this Teacup & Mug Exchange for a few years now. I decided to join in the fun for the spring exchange, and signed my name up to exchange a mug. Thank you so much Stephanie for organizing this wonderful exchange, it was a pleasure to participate in it! Click on the button below to visit the link party to see more mugs and teacups that have been sent all around the world through this exchange.

My package arrived quite promptly after the deadline for mailing ... it was sent from just up the road by Sandra of Ravenhill Cottage! Sandra and I live in the same town, and are also part of a tea and card exchange with a small group of ladies across Canada.

The goodies Sandra sent were all packed neatly into this lovely springtime yellow box. I know I can find a use for this little box ... I love the metal bits on the corners :)

Inside was a beautiful card from Sandra with a kind message for me ...

When I first opened the box, I was met with the wonderful fragrance
of this scented candle in it's cute little plaid box ...

And something that is always useful in my sewing projects.
Spools of pretty ribbon ...

Cheery stickers of sunflowers and cute mason jars ...

My favourite tea was included with so many treats,
and all with that 'rustic' style I love.

Oh, but the main item in the box?!
The item that we all are hopping around each other's blogs to admire?! The mug :)

I couldn't be happier with the mug!
The colours in it are beautiful ...

It's such a nice shape,
and the handle has a cute little curlicue at the bottom ...

A wonderfully large mug for a good cup of tea ...

It's perfect!!

Thank you so much Sandra for putting together this wonderful gift.
I will always enjoy using this mug!

If you want to see the mug I sent out, please visit Pat of Gypsy Heart and Soul.
I sent a little bit of Canadiana in her box ;)

sneak peak!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Wendy

  3. What a lovely exchange with such beautiful gifts. I was put off exchanges like this after sending out what I thought was a beautifully thought out parcel and in return I got a dog eared cross stitch book mark and two individually wrapped cookies, the type you get free with your coffee in some places.

  10. What a great mug! Teacups are lovely, but sometimes you just need a large mug full of steaming tea to keep your hands warm! Love the ribbons and candle, too. Enjoy Wendy!

  15. What an amazing coincidence! I love that you got paired up with Sandra. Did she hand deliver the package to your house? Hee! Sandra was also my first swap partner and sent me a lovely package back in 2014. The beautiful mug matches your blue and white dishes!

  16. Hello Wendy~~So you know Sandra...I have enjoyed getting to know her here in our blogging community. In fact, we were going to meet up last year when I was in Canada visiting with my husbands family, but she had to cancel due to other obligations. :(
She has certainly gifted you with a trove treasure of lovely gifts. I'm not one for a large mug, but that one is quite lovely. I could "handle" it, Ha! Hudson's Bay, how wonderful.
    Enjoy your treasures~~
