More Snow!! Can you believe this?!
I tossed extra birdseed & stale bread out for the birds to help them cope with today. It was supposed to be freezing rain (which isn't much better), and "heavy at times" this afternoon ... but snow?!
I was going to stop and trim some pussy willows from a tree I passed yesterday, I think I'll just stay indoors now and pull dog and knitting into my lap to stay cozy.
Hope it's green where you are!
Wendy
Oh, that's certainly not nice, it should be spring now!! We had snow today too, Wendy, large flurries of snow falling down, but luckily it melted as it hit the ground.
ReplyDeleteKeep warm and enjoy your knitting :)
Oh dear, you too! And we had a wicked thunderstorm two nights ago ... first of the year with the thunder rattling our windows. Strange weather. Everything has turned icy now, but they promise warmer weather by the weekend.
Delete~ Ooh crumbs Wendy!
ReplyDeleteThis scene all though picturesque..... looks like Christmas...So pleased you have knitted those mittens...Tis green here but ever so cold...Keep cosy lovely YOU! I am sending you some 'Twinklies' **** I do hope they help! ~Love Maria x
Yes! The mittens! Came in handy today, and they proved their worth ... nice & warm :) I'm sending the **twinkles** out onto the snow to help melt it ... Enjoy the rest of your week Maria!
DeleteOh no, more snow? Ours has finally all melted and apparently it's forecast to warm up here this weekend. Nothing like cuddling a pup and some knitting to keep you warm - enjoy, and I hope Spring gets to you very soon.
ReplyDeleteXx
We're supposed to warm up on the weekend too ... enough of this!
DeleteHi Wendy, I wore a winter jacket this morning, downtown we had more icy rain not so much snow like that.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to the knitted pillow. Keep warm :)
I wore my winter gear today too. I used to work downtown, and was lucky enough to be able to walk all the way underground from Union Station to my office on Bay, then University. It helped on yucky days like today ;)
DeleteI would be a bit discouraged to see snow in April too :) Hope it warms up soon there!
ReplyDeleteVery discouraging ... more like our usual January weather
DeleteKnitting always is good consolation for bad weather
ReplyDeleteI agree ... I have a woolen blanket around my shoulders today and more knitting in my lap :)
DeleteWell...they are calling for snow here tonight. I sure hope we don't get it but it wouldn't surprise me at this point! I hope we both can get out in the garden soon!!! Crazy!
ReplyDeleteKeep your fingers crossed for better weather for the weekend!
DeleteOh No! Keep warm under that yarn and dog! It's still very cold here but we've seen lots of sun....and the weather people say it might get warmer at the weekend! Spring has to come.....eventually! :) x
ReplyDeleteI'd prefer cold sunshine to this gloomy mess ... have a great weekend Ada!
DeleteDog and knitting on lap sounds the perfect way to spend this day Wendy.....
ReplyDeleteWish I could package up some sunshine and warmth and send it your way.
Hope you have a warmer weekend,
Claire ☀☀☀
Thank you Claire, the thought of warm sunshine sounds pretty good ... have a good weekend!
DeleteI can relate to this... snow, warm, snow, rain, etc. Springtime in the mountains, indeed! Enjoy, right? :)
ReplyDeleteSpringtime anywhere this year! Snow mostly melted by the end of today. Thanks for your return visit :)
DeleteOh wow thats a lot of snow! Its snowing here too but just big flurries that are barely covering the ground. What is with this weather. Good for you to just snuggle up with a pup and some knitting. Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteWe ended up with 1" on the patio table (my accurate measuring gauge!). Today was another stay-indoors day ... ho hum ... more knitting! ;D
DeleteLet's face it, this spring sucks. Big time. On the bright side, it looks like you have a nice big front yard. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd on the even brighter side, I won a giveaway ... which I never do ;)
DeleteCool!
