Photo Mosaic

In trying new things on my laptop, I've discovered how to create this mosaic, and thought I would share :)  This was during our summer trip to Algonquin Park, just north of us.  We camp in a campground (not 'backwoods' camping), but do a lot of daytime exploring in our canoe (and now with my son in his own kayak), on the bike trails and hiking trails.  It's a lot of fun, and my favourite place on earth.

I want to do a few more of these mosaics from 2012, but the bulk of my photos are still on our other computer and I have to transfer them ... ho hum ...  There was a certain milestone trip we made in the early summer that would be nice to share, but it'll wait until I transfer more photos.

Another cold day here ... I did get out tobogganing with the kids yesterday afternoon and my shoulders and back are a bit creaky as a result!!  I couldn't be getting old could I?!

I'm very excited to be involved in my first swap ever!!  I've got a few ideas already forming in my head, and can't wait to find out who is my partner so I can get going on it!  :)

Thanks for stopping by,

Wendy

  2. What a lovely mosaic Wendy! I could see that framed and put on the wall as a reminder of a fun trip.

Digital photo storage and organizing is such a pain. I have barely made a print for 6 years! :)

    1. I was thinking I'd like to see this printed out too. I agree with you on photo management ... the only time we print off pictures is for a Christmas present! Thanks for popping over :) Wendy

    1. I feel more comfortable with the camera than with the blogging :P Enjoy your weekend of gardening Ada! I spent two freezing hours in a cold wind on a tobogganing hill today while thinking of your butterfly bush :) Wendy

  4. Hi. I just found your blog through some comments you left on mine. Thank you so much and thank you for visiting my blog. I've been looking through your posts. You have some wonderful knit projects posted. This mosaic is great! I love how the outdoor backgrounds of each picture help to blend the mosaic so perfectly. I've never seen a mosaic like this. Looks like fun. We love spending as much time as possible outdoors too.

    1. Hello, and thanks for visiting my blog (and following along!). I've been answering your comments about previous posts (I think I've answered them all). I didn't realize you had left these comments as my email is a bit messed up on my new computer and I forget to check on the 'old' computer :) Sorry if I'm a bit tardy with the responses. It seems we have a lot in common! Wendy
