Buttons

I don't want to mislead anyone, so right away I'll tell you I'm talking about buttons that link to another blog site.

I'm lost on this.  Can anyone tell me how you copy someone's "button" to your side bar?

Thanks!!!

  1. So under the button on the other persons page there should be code. Copy that code and in your layout go to 'add gadget', scroll through and find add HTML/java script. Paste the code from the button and save. It should appear...

    1. Thanks Hazel, but still having trouble ... can't find the 'code' under the button. Thought I had it, but when I copied/pasted, it just ended up being words, not a picture button. :(

    2. is it a button or a picture link?

Like say the Tea Party Tuesdaysone is a picture.. then you will need to click on the picture, it opens in a blackened screen, right click on the picture and then click "copy image url". Back in blogger go to layout, add gadget and then add "Image". Then paste the link into the "from the web" part. Give a few minutes to appear and save. That should add the picture to your sidebar.

But if it's a button and code, make sure you have all the code, some of it hides down in the little box on the other pages sidebar.

Hope you get it sorted- it took me a while to figure our too. X

    3. Thanks very much for all of this Hazel! It was the Tea Party thingy I was trying to copy, and I just figured it was a button. Will try again with your helpful info here :)
