I feel I have to let you all know that I'm having huge computer issues right now. I'm getting so frustrated with it, that I may just cave in and take it to the computer store to see if they can fix it up like it used to be. Every time I try to visit your blogs, I get "error" over and over again. Then when it finally loads up and I type in a comment, the comment window comes up as an error. Sometimes I check back to see if my comment did actually publish, but it's just taking up so much time to do all of this.
I hate to be rude, so felt I needed to say this. All comments go through my gmail account, so I think I've been able to respond to all the comments you have left for me here. But even then, it takes an age for the gmail account to load, and then another age to get the little reply window to open up.
I've visited everyone who left a comment on the last two posts, and it's really been hit and miss whether I've been able to make the comments stick! I should take this opportunity as well to thank all of you for your wonderful comments when I did my kitchen reveal before Christmas. Time got completely away from me by that point, and I just wasn't able to reply to you all individually. But your positive feedback meant so much to me, and really made me glad to have pushed through and finished the kitchen. You guys are the best support team anyone could ask for ;)
Anyway, I'm not sure how many more times I will even be able to get posts published before I throw this computer out the window!! I may be silent for a little while if I take it in for repairs.
Thanks for understanding!
Wendy

ReplyDeleteJillxo
So frustrating!! I hope that you can get it fixed and sorted out very soon! We will be here and don't worry, I won't send any long e-mails right now! If it gets really bad we can resort to snail mail!! xx
ReplyDeleteEek, I know how you feel. I had my fair share of computer problems last year and finally took the hint that my old computer was no longer fit for purpose. That was after having it repaired once. I decided it wasn't worth repairing again. My new laptop actually cost less than the old one and not a lot more than the computer people would have charged to look at it again. If you really like your computer or it is modern, I'd say it's worth repairing. Otherwise...go on....treat yourself.
ReplyDeleteSorry you're having computer problems, it's usually printers that act like that. I'm in search of a new computer, my is slowing going downhill and before it hits bottom I want a new one.
ReplyDeletegood luck with everything-I know how that feels-ugh!
ReplyDeleteComputers can be so frustrating! Hope you get yours fixed up soon! My lap-top is out of commission so I have had to use my ancient desk top hidden upstairs in the spare bedroom away from the world. I feel so claustrophobic up here....Hopefully I can get it back soon! Good luck with yours and thanks for letting us know. xo Karen
ReplyDeleteLove that hare!! And you and your brother have given me a new appreciation of the juxtaposition of blues and reds :)
ReplyDeleteBut I'm SO sorry about your computer woes!
Since finally breaking down and replacing my "repaired" laptop in August, I've been wishing I could justify buying yet another computer, because the new one has only one advantage (light weight) and everything else (tiny screen size that requires side-scrolling to read every page, sidebars that constantly jiggle and flutter if I make the font size large enough to read, glacially slow loading speed, bizarre self-triggering touchscreen) is a source of great frustration. Not a day goes by that I don't, at some point, say, aloud, "I hate this computer."
So, I appreciate your efforts to stay in touch with your readers despite what sounds like an extreme level of computer-generated difficulty! And I won't be surprised if you temporarily seem to disappear...but try not to stay away too long, please :)
No worries buddy! I hope that you are able to get it fixed....mine is heading that way too! Have a great Wednesday...no school here because it is so cold! Nicole xo
ReplyDeleteI hope you manage to get it all sorted out Wendy.
ReplyDeleteOh Wendy I'm with you on the blogger issues! Loads of times I press publish and loose my comment, and that's not on those blogs that moderate their comments,,,,very frustrating, hope you get things sorted! :) xxx
ReplyDeleteOh Wendy - that's a nightmare. Take a deep breath and don't worry about commenting back!! I really love that card - I do love the shape of a hare. I have an idea of an applique project in mind to do with the image of a hare. Good luck with the computer, J9 x
ReplyDeleteSo frustrating for you, take care xx
ReplyDeleteI understand. I ended up having to buy a new computer. We are at the mercy of the computer and internet powers that be. May your issues be solved before computers learn to fly! Love the card from your brother!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about us, I think we're able to understand !!! But good luck !! That's so irritating sometimes !!!! Take care !!
ReplyDeleteHello Wendy, do not worry. I have been there myself with computer problems so I understand.. I hope the problems can be fixed, take care and have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteI can feel the frustration Wendy, computers are great as long as they're working properly. You have to weigh the cost of fixing against how old the machine is, could be better to get a new one. Although more costly than a PC, I've never regretted purchasing my MacBook.
ReplyDeleteGood luck. Stay calm and put the kettle on. :-)
Sorry to hear about your computer troubles! Problems like that can be a real headache! Hope the issues are resolved soon.
ReplyDeleteHow very frustrating Wendy go get it fixed there's nothing worse than a slow computer that won't do what you ask it too. :) xx
ReplyDeleteI hate it when computers act up. Here's hoping your computer starts behaving itself very soon...
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Victoria
Very frusterating! But no worries dear we will be here when you get back :)
ReplyDeleteBirgitta xx
That happened to me with one blog yesterday and I couldn't figure out why. I kept getting an error message, and something about not being allowed to view the blog, and that I would need to sign in with a different account to comment. But I was looking at the blog, read the post and so couldn't figure out what the problem was. I tried several times to leave a comment and then gave up. Thankfully it's not happened anywhere else. Good luck figuring things out. Tammy
ReplyDeleteWendy,
ReplyDeleteYou have been silent and I was thinking where is that girl! Glad all is well, except for the computer.
Stay warm and I will look forward to your return!
Hugs,
Jemma
love the Christmas card !! And good luck with the computer...Gail x
ReplyDeleteI do hope you're on the way to a fix! Not the best way to start a new year!
ReplyDeleteComputer repairs always suck. My mom had to take her's in awhile back because the video card stopped working. I hope they can do a quick and simple fix on your computer so you can be back to internetting.
ReplyDeleteI myself just spent 10 whole days with internet, and I was going stir crazy. I had over 58 blog posts waiting to be read, countless emails and other stuff on other sites. I'm so very thankful for my internet and my laptop and my access and freedom to use both as I like!
