Still Yawning Along

I'm sure no one wants to see yet another W.I.P. on the zig-zag cushion cover ... least of all ME!  But having never made one of these little beauties before, I was quite unaware of the amount of time and work involved.  The stitching has taken hours and hours to complete, but now the strips, after a fair bit of squabbling from the yellow(!), are all happily united as one, and I can move to the next step of stitching up the sides and weaving in ends ... oh joy!

I ended up knitting two more half strips in yellow, now sewn along the side edges.  I figured the points from the zig-zags would just get squashed over in the end anyways, and this will look neater and also be quicker (I hope!) to stitch up!

My book this week is a Bruno novel, "Black Diamond" by Martin Walker ... again a Christmas gift from my husband.  I've not read these Bruno novels before, but I'm enjoying it so far.  A mystery for the Chief of Police (Bruno) to solve in the French village of Saint-Denis.  The front of the book claims this is "A luscious rural French caper", which sounds good to me!  Wine anyone?

    1. I thought it looked pretty good on that chair too ... maybe I'll have to make another one! Glad you liked the bluebells, I was doing some fancy contortions to get underneath the flowers to get that shot (neighbours probably loved that!) ;)
