End of Summer

My morning glory is gracing us with a few beautiful blue blooms every morning. Such a pretty flower and such an intense blue!

It's so humid out there again. Wearing sandals with bare feet and walking through the few fallen dried leaves on the sidewalks seems so wrong. I'm ready for some fall weather now please.

  1. Love Morning Glories, what a pretty blue color. Ours have done well this year.

  2. Great shade of blue! I'm not sure if it's going to get humid here or not today- it hasn't felt like it this morning, but that can change. If it carries on through the weekend, that'll be two weeks of this kind of weather, no rain. We've had plenty of rain all summer, but I'd prefer cooler temperatures now.

  3. Your morning glory is fabulous! What a wonderful blue. Autumn very much here in the fields this morning - it was only 4 degrees!

Welcome to Fall! Enjoy your weekend!!

  5. It seems everyone is ready for sweater weather. I don't think it will be too much longer before we feel the chill. Happy Fall

  9. We have a heat advsery in our area. I though I'd be washing and putting away all the summer clothes by now, but it looks like more days of this hot weather.

  11. Is it just me or do the green leaves in the first photo resemble hearts?

The hot and humid weather is supposed to continue until Wednesday. Tomorrow, it'll feel like 41C with the humidity. Yikes!

  12. Your morning glories are in just the perfect place! The heart shaped leaves and intense blue are lovely against the fence.
I have to smile about your bare feet and the fallen leaves. I love going barefoot, and for us it's very cool to walk through the fallen leaves. Very invigorating. I'm sure the crispness will be where you are soon enough.

  13. I couldn't agree with you more, Wendy!! I got a bit of sunburn on my face earlier today from going to a yard sale and our local farm stand. Beautiful outside but way to hot for fall!! The bees are going crazy too!!! : ) Have a beautiful weekend!! xo

  14. I like blue flowers, and Morning Glory is a lovely intense blue. It looks sweet creeping on the fence beside your pretty wreath. Seems our weathers are in sync: today we are hot here, and wearing sandals with bare feet! Summer is here...

  15. So beautiful. My neighbour grows morning glory up the chainlink fence between our gardens and because I am to the east of her, all the flowers come through on my side. She hasn't cottoned on yet and I am hoping that she doesn't. As I drove home yesterday I noticed that the autumn colours are developing already, ahead of schedule, but then nature has been running early all year here. I love the colours but I am sad to see the summer go (even though we haven't really had a summer this year). Hope you are having a good time this weekend. x

  19. The blue of your morning glories is gorgeous and matches the intensity of the sky these days. It's not very cool here yet, either, but I think it's cooler than you are. Hope it eases off for you.
